At
Scotprint, we recognise that our products
and operations have an impact on the environment
and we are committed to reducing those impacts.
We will achieve these reductions through a
programme of continual improvement aimed at
preventing the pollution associated with our
activities.
Scotprint’s
Environmental Management System was assessed
as being compliant with ISO 14001 in October
2002.
The
main components of our environmental policy
require us to:

Meet, and where possible exceed, the requirements
of current UK environmental legislation
and take a proactive stance towards any
pending environmental legislation
-
Maintain certification to ISO14001 in order
to demonstrate our commitments to environmental
protection
-
Set annual objectives and targets for continual
improvement and measure and review our performance
-
Promote improved environmental awareness
for employees, contractors, customers and
suppliers
Specifically,
on a day-to-day basis, we will:

Adopt the Principle of the three ‘R’s
- to firstly Remove, then Re-use, then lastly
to Recycle our waste streams where practicable
-
Encourage the use of sustainable transport
by our employees
-
Act to reduce our use of resources such
as raw materials, electricity, gas, water
and vehicle fuel
