Scotprint print single, two and four colour books computer-to-plate for most of the leading UK publishers. The company have had the computer-to-plate facility for over four years and apart from receiving PDF Files, are capable of converting Quark Discs in house.

The company runs on a continental shift system, which means the plant is operational virtually 24/7 allowing for fast turn round times all year round.

Scotprint are in three book markets.

• Educational Books, which tend to be either sewn, slotted, PUR or wire stitched and can also produce Big Books, which are 4 wire-stitched inline, up to a size of 594 x 420mm.
• Trade Books & Film/TV Tie In titles are normally sewn or slotted and although Scotprint do not have a ‘casing in’ facility, their sister company Hunter & Foulis, housed in the adjacent factory have all the necessary equipment.
• Children’s Books are usually wire stitched or sewn in two 16’s and where ‘casing in’ is required, bound at Hunter & Foulis. Scotprint also have a fulfilment facility and are able to individually shrinkwrap, insert CD’s and accommodate most of their clients needs..
